Bed Head & More Giggles

I always thought we'd have little ones with the Yergo hair, but I had no idea. Emily's locks just keep getting longer & curlier. Some days its even hard for mom to tame the mane, especially in the heat - I just do my best with little bows & water. And now that she can reach and grab things, she likes to twirl her curls when she wakes up, giving her some serious bed head. This one was right after she woke up from her morning nap. I just couldn't stop laughing & had to grab the camera.

We also have a new routine where Em sits in her chair while mom eats lunch. We had actually just come back from a playdate where she got to hang with some little friends, so she was still a little excited & worked up. I was only able to catch the tail end of her laugh fest & was trying to encourage her to keep it going.

Morning Giggles

Another Month Already?

Our little photo shoot was a lot more fun this month. We got some smiles & Emily actually seemed to be enjoying herself!

Emily continues to have this never-ending energy. A busy little bee, this one! She's mastered the whole rolling over thing, now rolling over both ways and sometimes from back to front, then front to back. This little skill is beginning to make diaper changing a little more challenging these days. She's just not interested in staying still for even a few minutes on her back.

And, she enjoys sitting up these days, with a little help of course. Last week we made the switch from the infant seat to riding around in her stroller, sitting forward. She's an outward facing little gal, so of course, she LOVES it.

Even more fun for mom & dad, with a little encouragement, she's worked herself into 2-3 naps a day, happening at about the same time every day. Mom is especially excited for this little advancement because she can plan her days & trips in advance! Whoo-hoo!

Then, she started to do what she does best...put anything and everything she can find into her mouth. First her little fingers, then her friend "Lambie", then her shoe.

Emily also went to her 1st wedding this past weekend, for a very close friend of Noel's. She didn't quite make it to the reception & dinner, but she was able to see the actual wedding & mingle a tad before-hand. We all had a great time!
