Birthday Fun
For my birthday this year, David treated me to a delightful Fondue outing. If you haven't ever been to Fondue, we both highly recommend it! We've been wanting to go forever and have just been waiting for the perfect occasion. What better way to celebrate another wonderful year than with tons of gooey cheese & chocolate?! I took a pic of the dessert platter (my favorite part, of course).
BG really liked the dessert too. She was just kicking away for those chocolate covered strawberries. She's definitely my daughter :)
Then, the following weekend my Mom & I went to our yearly Nutcracker outing in downtown San Diego. It's become another Zielinski lady tradition. Then we always meet the boys afterwards for dinner. This year we chose a great little place in Little Italy. We all talked about how different my birthday (and Christmastime in general) will be next year with BG.

Getting Ready for Turkey
It's been a busy month, to say the least! Thanksgiving weekend was full of lots of turkey, sleep and, of course, the annual Zielinski ladies baking day. We made Peanut Butter Balls (my fav), Snickerdoodles (David's fav), Fudge, Spritz cookies and Peppermint Bark. Believe it or not, we actually ended earlier than usual & skipped the Gingerbread cookies because I was a little more tired than normal. We'll just make up for it next year. My mom & I were thinking how fun it will be next year when BG gets to join us...or at least watch.

On another note, I caught David practicing the whole parenting thing with our current baby of the house. What a natural (Rocky - not David)!

Baby Bump
I'm officially showing! Yeah!! I've been getting lots of requests lately to see the baby bump, so here's a little trip down memory lane. Here I am at 21 weeks.
I can't believe how much she (and the tummy) have grown even in the past few weeks! My mom says she remembers one day just popping and looking pregnant. I think that's how it was for me too. Here's a pic from a month ago, at 16 weeks.
Then, way back when at 12 weeks.
Oh - and I can definitely feel her moving around...all day long. She's so active. She's either swimming, running or doing baby yoga - I can't decide. I love feeling her move, though. She likes to make sure I know she's the center of attention :) Anyway, hope you enjoy!!

Trick or Treat!
Rocky survived another Halloween. This year he was a Rooster! (Although he was more a little chicken.) As for us, we went back in time for our costumes and were a mismatched pair. Aww!!
Noel and I also helped chaperone a 7th and 8th grade dance at her Mom's school. We blended right in with some kids approaching us asking for permission to go outside - apparently we look like authority figures! So of course, I sent him out with matches, a box of broken glass and my car keys and figured, how much trouble can he get into, right? It took us back to those days, 2 hours of a hot gymnasium, bad music, and little to no dancing. We weren't the only parents there however, some lucky 7th or 8th grader got to be under the watchful eye of Mom and Dad who were not-so-inconspicuously standing in the corner... good luck with high school, kid. Either way, it was a dose of what the future has in store for us someday!

So...we've LOVED being able to keep up on all the other families through their blogs, so we've finally decided to start our own! We're hoping to be able to share lots of photos, thoughts & updates on our growing family :)
