Now that Em has mastered rice cereal, we are beginning to explore the world of veggies! We started with peas - obviously not her favorite. I'm thinking we made them a little too chunky, because it brought on a major tummyache. I hope Emily doesn't swear off peas entirely because of the experience. Luckily, next on the menu was carrots & it was much smoother (literally)!

The Results are in...
While I hate the dreaded "shot day", I really love seeing how much Emily is growing. For her 6 month visit, she weighed in at 14 lbs, 5 oz (15%) and measured 26 inches (50%). Go girl!
We've also had a new discovery this week...straws! Lately, Emily has been very curious about what we've been drinking. She grabs at our glasses & brings it to her mouth like she's going to take a sip. Mostly, she just ends up chewing the edge of the glass, and getting water all over herself. So, we were at a restaurant, and she wanted to take a sip from my glass, so I let her give the straw a try.
This was the second or third time she tried. We think the water was a little too cold for her (so it seemed to surprise her each time), but she kept going back for more!
