Happy Dads Day & Draintime

It couldn't have been more perfect...the A's were in town all weekend and so were the Drains! David & Scott got their fair share of baseball for Fathers Day. And, of course, Emily was introduced to her soon-to-be favorite team (Catherine's already been to an A's game, so she showed Em the ropes). We all just had a blast!

Lions and Tigers and Bears

We took our 1st official trip to the San Diego Zoo today! It was awesome. We must've timed it just right too, because all the animals were out and about. We were able to see some little babies that were born this past Spring. There was an adorable baby gorilla & some soft little baby flamingos. Okay...so, maybe we had a little more fun than she did...but we definitely think it will be super fun to make frequent trips once she's a little older.

We couldn't see everything, because Em got tuckered out pretty quick, so next time the Polar Bears and Giraffes are at the top of the list. From everything we saw today, the waterfall was her favorite (go figure). But, she also liked the fish & meercats. Such a fun day!

Three Times a Lady

Hard to believe just 3 months ago we were welcoming Emily to our family! It feels like she's been with us forever. Other parents kept telling us it gets REALLY good once you hit the 3 month mark because they're finally used to the world. We completely agree. We get smiles all the time now and she chats back and forth with us. Her favorite things these days are talking and running (or just moving her legs like she's running). She's an active little thing too. Always squirming & kicking. And, she's sleeping almost 9 hours at night, which means she wakes up happy as a clam from all that shut-eye. So do mom & dad. We think she's looking more and more like a Yergovich as the days go by...
